A paradox
Communication campaigns on the “right way” to eat, move and behave have never been so numerous. An even more surprising phenomenon: the WHO (World Health Organization) warns that being overweight could become a European norm 1 . In the absence of being able to maintain a healthy lifestyle, the “laissez faire, laissez passer” becomes a precept of conformity even in the field of health.
We are therefore entitled to ask ourselves: normalize overweight?
A story of common sense
Because “advisers are not the payers” and when the pounds are installed it is difficult to fight them, support must come from overweight people themselves.
To this, two possible orientations: “ I continue to eat, to remain sedentary ” and “ I wish to regain my health ”. Here, it is wise to specify that the problem of overweight is not self-evident and that what the obese person experiences badly today, will become even more problematic tomorrow.
