The benefits of endurance sports work
Despite sunny weather, the summer period has been replaced for several days by the ritual “metro work sleep”! Everything to undermine morale. This is why it is essential to organize within your schedule, which has become frenetic, moments to think about yourself, your body andthe benefits of sport.
Especially if overweight, or even obesity, has gained a few pounds because of more sedentary lifestyle… The fault of the deckchairs and exotic cocktails? I don’t care. The physical grip is necessary before the arrival of the festive celebrations at the end of the year. That’s three months to put a maximum chance on his side to lose those damn pounds.
On the Tixup website, where the information is continuous, an article is devoted to well-being and health(1). It deals with physical work adapted for obese people: endurance effortcoupled with muscular work is popular. This training remains ideal in the resumption of a gentle and effective physical activity.
Overview
In order to lose weight, some recommendations are more suitable than others. This is the case of a balanced diet, a restful sleep, a correct hydration in water and a sports practice specific to overweight people. Regarding the last point, studies on the fight against obesity have been conducted and published in the “Journal of the American Medical Association”. It appears that to the simple dietmust be added an activitythat includes two types of training: endurance work and weight training sessions.
The experiment is conducted on more than three hundred overweight adolescents classified into four groups. All of them followed a nutritional diet but, for all that, they did not benefit from the same training sessions:
- The first group enrolled in machine bodybuilding classes,
- The second was devoted to jogging and cycling sessions,
- The third combined the sessions of the two previous groups, namely aerobic training combined with strength training,
- The fourth, and final group, did not follow any physical program.
The results prove that when it comes to weight loss, it is important to choose your training plan. Indeed, the last group did not record any significant change. The first two groups decreased their waist circumference by four centimeters and the third, the one who was able to practice a double effort, saw the waist circumference of its practitioners go down from … seven centimeters. What a reward!
Endurance work helps fight obesity
Physiologically, endurance uses an energy system called “aerobic sector” which requires a supply of oxygen with the use of fat reserves to ensure the effort required. It is therefore an effort of moderate intensity, such as slow jogging, which is recommended and which can be sustained for quite a long time. Between thirty minutes to an hour seems perfect.
During such an effort, sweating is present, the muscles are solicited and the person feels that he is exercising a sporting activity well. However, she can talk and is in a pleasant and serene comfort zone rather than in an intense and, sometimes, even unsustainable effort like resistance training can be. Indeed, this type of effort requires more of a strong surpassing of oneself which can even cause a desire to vomit.
It is not without saying that for the overweight person, this kind of activity isharmfulbecause traumatic for the joints, the heart, the muscles. Some obese will not persist while, for endurance work, the pleasure remains there.
