The “lemon detox” cure, overview
“Detox” cures are on the rise. So much so that many people no longer talk about diet but rather about detox.
American stars are bringing lemon up to date, it’s the “ lemon detox ” cure . But be careful, it is a question of making the right distinction so as not to fall into the “rebound effect” trap of all excessive deprivation.
Tour d’horizon
There is the Beyonce , Mariah Carey or even Jennifer Aniston version . There are several versions of this detox from the most insane (so-called complete) to the most light, which remains more balanced even if it requires more patience.
The Beyoncé / Mariah Carey version recommends a drink made up of water, lemon, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, ginger.
Maple syrup is an anti-inflammatory, lemon juice dissolves fat, cayenne pepper and ginger promote the elimination of toxins.
The complete lemon detox

The “complete detox” replaces all solid food with this liquid. It lasts 19 days during which one lemon juice is equivalent to one day. The maximum threshold is set at 10 days (10 lemons) and decreases by 1 lemon per day. Indeed, deprivation is such that every kilo flies away, but so does health . In addition, this elimination of solid foods requires a gradual resumption of these in the daily diet. Weight gain guaranteed!

But there is a light version which recommends two or three glasses of this “miracle preparation” to replace one or two meals of your choice.
Jennifer Aniston’s detox
Jennifer Aniston is closer to common sense since she recommends a simple lemon juice cut with warm water on an empty stomach. Drinking in the morning, after a 6-8 hour fast, is beneficial. So why not add the juice of a lemon?
Opt for patience
Lemon is our health and fitness ally, but it would not be a question of making all our meals a reviewed and corrected saga of these perennial trendy diets that come back in force before each spring.
Lemon is a food that combines several benefits. It is astringent and antioxidant although acidic (be careful not to abuse it, the acidity of lemon attacks tooth enamel). It balances the excess of free radicals present in our body and makes our “environment” more basic. This saves us many incidents such as repeated tendonitis, acid reflux, excess lime causing deposits that limit the proper functioning of our joints… Lemon contains vitamin C and it stimulates our immune defences.
In a word: do not hesitate to include it in your daily food rations. Squeeze half a lemon and add a little honey. Winter days will be less crowded with colds and other sinusitis. As soon as the good weather arrives, put it in the sauce of your salads. A beautiful energy in sight!
