Attention, this calculation is not that of the BMI (Body Mass Index). This is a different measurement, you can find more information about BMI on this page .
Fill in your height (in cm) as well as your sex and we will calculate your ideal weight according to the Lorentz formula.

ORIGINS OF THE LORENTZ IDEAL WEIGHT & EXPLANATIONS
There are 4 popular formulas for knowing your ideal weight . The Lorentz formula is one of them (along with the formula of Monnerot-Dumaine , of Creff and of Broca ). This formula dates from the year 1929 (1) .
This formula, even if it only gives a theoretical ideal weight, is used in geriatrics for example. In fact, the GNRI (Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index) takes Lorentz’s ideal weight (2) as a parameter .
The formula for men is:W e ight _ _ i d e a l (homme) = H−100−((H−150)/4)
The formula for women is as follows:W e ight _ _ i d e a l (femme) = H−100−((H−150)/2,5)
Where the height is expressed in centimeters ( H value ) and the result is given in kilograms. This formula is therefore strongly inspired by that of Broca.
