Coping with obesity

Dealing with obesity can be a real challenge. And for good reason: obesity is sometimes to be considered as a disease in its own right. To deal with obesity, we offer you, on this page, a means which we hope will be able to help you: the Carenity site.

Carenity is just one way to deal with obesity. Do not hesitate to contact us if you would like us to complete this page with your site, for example. We remind you that the objective of CalculerSonBMI is to support the relationship between a patient and his doctor, we do not seek to replace this relationship.

CARENITY.COM: THE SOCIAL NETWORK FOR PATIENTS (AND THEIR RELATIVES)

Carenity is a social network in its own right. This site has indeed several communities, which gather around a theme or a particular pathology. Obesity is one of those communities.

By joining the Carenity network, you are then able to discuss the symptoms but also the consequences related to overweight or obesity. The interest of Carenity is to connect individuals who suffer from the same problems. Once in the community, we found the tools that Carenity makes available to its members particularly interesting. The other advantage of this community is that, very often, people who suffer from obesity are not necessarily ready to discuss their complications on more general forums.

Here, each member of the community is a patient, or a loved one. On Carenity, it is therefore very often a person particularly involved in the problems of obesity: a person who can bring his point of view, give his advice, but also reassure, bring real support  but also real understanding .. Because this is the problem of a large part of individuals who have overweight problems: understanding. Here, the members know what they are talking about, so you can talk about it with them with ease. Using Carenity is completely free. This website is also labeled “Young Innovative Company” (by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research). The site respects the HONcode charter. We can only advise you to go there.

At the time we publish these lines, ie on November 21, 2012, the site has 217 registered members in the obesity community. Below are statistics on this community.
