The question of the size which could be considered as the ” theoretical ideal size ” of a woman’s chest (breasts) has never found a real consensus. Yet many scientific studies exist, as well as many surveys. It is therefore possible to highlight an ideal medium size: size C.

WHAT DO SCIENTIFIC STUDIES SAY ABOUT THE IDEAL BREAST SIZE?
There is an interesting study on this subject, which was carried out in France by Nicolas Guégen (1) . The objective of this study was to test the effect of breast size on the rate of help offered by a man . The experiment consisted of putting a 20-year-old woman in the position of a hitchhiker, and studying the behavior of individuals (men and women).
The woman wore an adjustable bra, allowing her breast size to be reduced or enlarged. The results of the study demonstrated that there is a very significant link between increased breast size and additional help for men. On the other hand, among women, the increase in the size of the young woman’s breasts did not particularly increase the help provided. The study therefore makes it possible to show, in particular, that the ideal size perceived by men is not that perceived by women. This joins a previous study (2) which indicated that a very important morphological aspect in women (for men) was the size of the breasts.
But what would be the ideal size? According to Nicolas Guégen’s experience with the 20-year-old hitchhiker. Three bra sizes were tested: A, B and C.

Nicolas Guégen’s study shows that it is with size C that men most often stop. An interesting start.
An even more recent scientific study (3) , carried out in 2011, completes the previous answer. Carried out on a panel of 128 men (average age of 23.42 years), the study provides interesting details and indicates that when we put photographs (in oblique view or in side view) of breasts, so chest size C is the most popular . Followed very closely (or almost equivalently) by size D (not included in the previous study).
POLLS AROUND THE WORLD
Another useful data to be able to claim to give an ideal breast size that is statistically valid is to consult the various polls and surveys around the world.
According to a survey (4) carried out in 2006 on a panel of men, it is once again size C that would prevail , then followed by size D, which is therefore largely in line with the conclusions of the two previous scientific studies.

Still according to this same survey, 62% of people questioned indicated that if the breast size was not at least a size B, then they would not experience a significant enough consideration.
On the other hand, to the question on the maximum breast size, the survey indicates that individuals do not want the woman to exceed the DD.

Other surveys of lesser scope, carried out for example on Yahoo.com’s public questions platform, confirm the real interest in size C. Out of a sample of 6 surveys carried out between 2010 and 2014, selected at chance. CalculerSonBMI identified 27 usable responses (from men and women). Of these 28 responses, more than half (15) favored size C (7 were for size B, 3 for size D, and the other responses for other sizes).
Finally, a very recent survey, published at the beginning of 2014 by the company Lovoo (which publishes a dating platform), indicates that size C was the preferred size. The sample consisted of 2,000 Britons. Results that confirm previous polls and studies, and which are therefore clearly in line with the idea that size C is the ideal breast size for a woman .
THE SHAPE OF THE CHEST
The form counts for a lot (5) . A scientific study has indicated that an ideal form would consist of a ratio of 45:55. This means that if 45% of the height (volume) of the breasts is above the nipple (so 55% of the height is below), then the breast would be perfectly balanced. This concept of ratio comes from the study of a British surgeon (6) , who conducted his experiment over 3 months (study published in October 2011).
In addition to this 45:55 ratio, the angle formed by the tip of the nipples is the second indicator used in judging the shape of the breasts. In addition to the size of the chest, the shape is directly linked to the notion of youth: a firm and balanced chest being difficult to maintain over time. This is why the form is an important consideration for men (notion of youth) but also for women who wish to maintain a young body.
Still concerning the shape of the chest, the survey carried out in 2006 (4) also provides details on the subject of general morphology. Out of 16 different body types in women, the 3 favorites are (in order): ” a medium figure with a large chest “, ” a thin figure with an average chest “, ” a medium figure with an average chest “. Silhouettes involving “very large breasts ” are not among the most popular.
FINDINGS
Scientific studies have long agreed that breast size is a real determining sociological factor in relationships between individuals, and more specifically in relation to sexual attractiveness.
If the ideal chest size is a subjective fact, scientific studies as well as the various polls and surveys seem to converge on the same answer, size C can be considered as the theoretical ideal chest circumference .
Note, however, that two studies (5.7) provide serious details on the fact that symmetry and the general proportions of a woman are criteria (among others) that play an even more determining role. It was thus demonstrated, in this way, that by averaging 70 random photographs of women, then the result (which involved a breast size B, which is the most common on the globe) was judged to be extremely attractive. because of the almost perfect proportions (and this despite a chest size smaller than size C). This goes back to our previous paragraph about the shape of the breasts, which is a data that is very important.
It is also interesting to note, finally, that scientific studies show that, in general, women overestimate the size of the chest that men prefer.
