Postpartum yoga to find the line

Postpartum yoga to find the line
Yoga is a gentle or intensive gym, which allows you to build muscle. The movements to be performed are gentle, ensuring the body a stress-free effort. After giving birth, many women want to quickly regain their original shape and weight. They can then opt for yoga. This practice offers them the possibility of regaining their body little by little, and of strengthening the areas of the body which, during their pregnancy, have relaxed.

What is postpartum yoga?

Pregnancy and then childbirth change a woman’s body. She must therefore learn to reclaim it, to shape it. For this, a yoga session is based on stretching, relaxation and  gentle bodybuilding exercises .

Certain muscles, including the perineum and the pelvic muscles, need to recover their natural abilities. They have lost tone, elasticity and strength. This is why it is advisable to do exercises after childbirth, in order to work these muscles.

Postnatal  yoga  is a gym, but it also has an educational notion. Mothers learn the ergonomic positions for them and for the child, how to breastfeed their newborn, while relaxing.
It is essential to state that yoga is very effective on both fronts. It teaches recovery of one’s body, control of it, as well as relaxation. These two aspects are intrinsically linked.

What is a postnatal yoga session like?

A yoga session lasts about an hour and a half. It is advisable to seek medical advice before starting. You can choose to do yoga alone or with your baby, if you don’t want to leave him. Indeed, this yoga is also intended to allow the mother and her child to  perform the session together . This can help create a bond, a new relationship between you. Thus, the session takes place in an atmosphere not only calm, peaceful and serene, but also of complicity.

Depending on the needs of the mother, you can do between five and ten sessions. Their cost varies between 20 and 25 euros. But, many establishments that offer postpartum yoga issue a subscription for several sessions, which gives access to a preferential price.

Yoga classes take place in specialized centers or establishments, or in yoga spaces, or at home with a private teacher. You can also, if you wish, carry out these sessions at home, at your own pace, if you already know the right movements.

What are the benefits of yoga after childbirth?

Postpartum  yoga  allows mothers to  lose their belly  gently, without stress. It is not, in fact, “normal” kilos, but those, natural, which occur during pregnancy. Some women lose them quickly, while others may have more problems.

Yoga will give you the opportunity to get used to your body again, to regain control. The muscles will develop again, the abdominal fat will melt as the sessions progress, always in relaxation and confidence, thanks to the specific movements to be carried out.

Moreover, it is a marvelous  moment of sharing  with other mothers, other children. A moment of complicity with them as much as with your child.

But your child will also benefit from the benefits of these exercises. He will gain in flexibility , will be more open, more sociable, because he will meet, from an early age, people other than those around him.
Its development will therefore be easier, faster, as will its attention. All these exercises will help awaken it.
A beautiful moment of tenderness beneficial for everyone!
