The “fictitious” anti-obesity poster temporarily attributed to the Ministry of Youth and Sports
A little unusual news since it is a “fictitious” poster that has been talked about (very punctually) on the Internet this week. We present here the little story as well as the poster itself.
The story
On March 21, 2013, L’Express published for a very short time a poster (presented at the end of the article) that could have been attributed to a campaign of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
CalculateYoursBMI had therefore considered writing an article. But in search of additional sources, especially on the official website of the Ministry, no trace of the poster was visible. Further to the bottom right of the poster it says “Ministry of Health, Youth and Sports“. However, since 2012 this name is “Ministry of Sports, Youth, Popular Education and Associative Life“, which left a doubt about the veracity of the poster. The writing of the article has therefore been suspended pending new sources.
And finally, L’Express indicated that the poster is fictitious and that it was not used by the Ministry. The poster was made by David LESAGE (you will find several of his creations in the sources), but it was a false information that L’Express corrected very quickly(1).
On March 28, for example, the result in “Google News” is no longer the same (the title has changed):
The fictitious poster
We still wanted to present you the image made by David LESAGE (below):
This poster was posted online on February 16, 2014, by David LESAGE, at the address you will find in the sources(2).
Be careful because some sites still present the poster as an official poster of the Ministry of Health, which is not the case(1).
And you, what do you think of this poster, even fictitious? Do you find it suitable? Feel free to leave your comments (just below the article).
