The “McDonald’s diet”, a professor, in Iowa, loses 37lbs (17kg) in 90 days

Attention, the approach of this professor is obviously to be taken with great care.

10 years after Spurlock’s “Super Size Me” documentary, which pointed to McDonald’s as one of the main causes of American obesity, an American science teacher was inspired by it and decided in agreement with his students to indulge in a little experiment. Super Size Me showed the protagonist who in just a month of eating only at McDonald’s ended up with an enlarged waistline and deteriorating health.

The science teacher wanted to show that  everything is a question of good choice  . For three months, he ate all of his meals exclusively at McDonald’s, but limited himself to 2,000 calories a day. He paid attention to his vitamin & nutrient intake and walked 45 minutes a day. The professor therefore had a real desire for a balanced diet since he monitored his caloric intake and sought to compensate for this intake through regular and properly adapted physical activity.

He usually had a light breakfast, a salad for lunch and a traditional menu with ice cream for dinner. At the end of the experiment (which he filmed for his students), the results are astonishing: The professor lost 17 kilos and his bad cholesterol level decreased (it went from 249 to 170).

A relatively unusual experience of weight loss therefore, the approach of which is obviously to be taken with great care.
