What are full calories?

What are full calories?

The term “calorie” is often demonized and easily equated with weight gain. All the foods we eat are made of it. They provide our body with the energy it needs to function properly. So why fight those calories? They are not in themselves the nature of the problem. It is  the excess  and the poor choice of foods that are the real factors of potential weight gain or the development of health problems.

Empty calories, good for the soul less for the body

Calories are divided into two categories,  full  and empty  (also called hollow). Defined as the bad guys in history, empty foods (chips, alcohol, sodas, cold meats, hamburgers, fried foods, ice creams, and other sweets) consumed regularly or in large quantities promote health concerns: weight gain, diabetes, cholesterol, cardiovascular problems, etc. Although there is no denying the energy supply of these calories, this does not make up for the lack of  essential nutrients  needed. However, beware! However, they are not to be avoided. Consumed moderately, they are not harmful and on the contrary, it is good to have fun from time to time.

Full calories, a gateway to a balanced diet

Then come the full ones which, unlike the empty ones, are rich in essential nutrients  (micronutrients). Vitamins, fatty acids, amino acids, fibers, minerals, make up these full calories and our body loves them. It is through the consumption of this type of calorie that you allow your body to stay in shape and be resistant .

On the hunt for good calories!

Present in fruits and vegetables, meats, fish, breads, rice and pasta with whole grains or even olive oils (rich in omega 3), these calories are the very essence of a  healthy and balanced diet . . Here no saturated fat or refined sugar and yet the energy intake is not the least.

Good food also rhymes with pleasure

We have already mentioned it, by consuming foods composed of full calories you ensure better health . But behind this major advantage, there are also other benefits that we could easily forget. For lovers of cooking, foods rich in micronutrients are a godsend.

Do you seriously want to redefine your diet by favoring these foods? Nice initiative. Get started, the internet is full of recipes for all levels. In addition to doing good for your body, please your taste buds.
